The use of higher-order Markov chains becomes impossible when describing objects with a large correlation length due to the exponential growth of the number of chain parameters. To overcome this inconvenience, two simple models of the Markov sequences will be introduced and their properties and applications will be considered. The problem of applying the approach introduced above to describe the process of weak measurements in quantum systems is discussed under the assumption of the applicability of the coherent semi-classical approximation when describing the measuring device.
