Nowadays observations of black hole-black hole (BBH), neutron star-black hole (NSBH) and neutron start-neutron star (BNS) mergers are done routinely. Still challenging is the detection of continuous waves (CW) emitted by rotating neutron stars and the stochastic gravitational wave background. In this talk I'd like to list sources of gravitational waves and ways to detect them. The main emphasis of this talk is the introduction of data analysis methods. Finaly, I'd like to present our data analysis facility 'Atlas'.
